Kylian Mbappe scored twice as Real Madrid overturned an early deficit to defeat Las Palmas and reclaim the top spot in La Liga, reports Football Scores Today.

Fabio Silva stunned the hosts with a close-range strike to put the visitors ahead. However, Mbappe equalized from the penalty spot after Sandro Ramirez brought down Rodrygo in the box.

Brahim Diaz then slotted home from a precise Lucas Vazquez pass to give Real the lead. Mbappe added his second with an exquisite finish, curling the ball into the net for his 12th league goal of the season. By halftime, Carlo Ancelotti’s side was firmly in control.

The second half continued similarly, with Rodrygo finishing off Fran Garcia’s cutback in the 57th minute to extend Real’s dominance.

Las Palmas’ frustrations mounted when substitute Benito Ramirez received a red card. His studs-up challenge on Vazquez, initially deemed a yellow-card offence, was upgraded to a red after a VAR review.

Real Madrid had three goals disallowed for offside, including what would have completed Mbappe’s hat-trick. Meanwhile, Jude Bellingham missed several chances to get on the scoresheet.

The win sees Real Madrid move two points clear at the top of La Liga, with Atletico Madrid slipping behind after losing to Leganes on Saturday.
