Arsenal defender Jurrien Timber has temporarily left the club’s pre-season training camp in Spain to return to London as part of the ongoing management of his groin injury.

Timber is expected to return to Spain once the medical checks are completed and continue preparing for the new campaign alongside Mikel Arteta’s squad.
The defender’s latest rehabilitation follows a frustrating period in which injuries interrupted the latter stages of his season.
Although he missed the final two months because of an ankle problem, Timber recovered in time to feature in Arsenal’s UEFA Champions League final defeat against Paris Saint-Germain.
Shortly after his return, however, he developed a groin issue that ruled him out of the FIFA World Cup.
