Norwich have signed Argyle goalkeeper Grimshaw.

Dan Grimshaw Joins Norwich City in First Signing Under Liam Manning

Norwich City have secured the signing of goalkeeper Dan Grimshaw from Plymouth Argyle for an undisclosed fee, marking the first signing under new head coach Liam Manning , reports Football Scores Today.

The 27-year-old featured in 21 Championship matches for Plymouth last season, having made the switch from Blackpool in August. He has now signed a three-year contract with the Canaries and is set to reunite with Manning, who previously coached him during a loan spell at Belgian side Lommel SK in the 2020-21 season.

Grimshaw endured a mixed campaign at Plymouth, most notably conceding six goals during a heavy defeat at Carrow Road in November. He later lost his place in the starting XI to Conor Hazard in January.

Speaking to Norwich’s club website, Grimshaw expressed his enthusiasm about the move:
“I’ve known of the interest for a little while, and as soon as I heard about it, it was a place I wanted to come — a big club with big ambitions, so it matched what I wanted to do.”

He added:
“We want to push for promotion — I’m here to give everything I have, and hopefully we’ll achieve that together.”

The move comes as Norwich look to strengthen their squad following a mid-table finish last season. Former first-choice goalkeeper Angus Gunn was released at the end of the campaign, opening the door for Grimshaw to stake his claim as the club’s new number one.
